With the constant algorithm and payment changes over the past 5 years, I currently earn 1% of what I did when I first joined Medium in 2018, despite now having over 100 times as many followers (20,000, at present count). Something is clearly and dramatically broken here. I cancelled my membership over a year ago, and have had no incentive to renew it.
